DESCRIPTION:The Network Advisory Committee is scheduling its first educational session. These session are a result of the feedback we received from the Learning Needs Assessment Survey. Attached are instructions on how to join the webinar session. \nThe webinar will be held on April 14 from 7 to 8 pm ET. \nWhen in a leadership position\, you can experience times of exhilaration and success\, but there can also be times of concern and crisis which call for immediate action and change. During the recent rapid onset of COVID-19\, and the need for social distancing\, the face to face national conference of Nurses Specialized in Wound\, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC) was quickly moved to a Virtual Event in order to meet the continuing education needs of the nurse members. There was also a large financial implication to the association that had to be navigated. Decisions had to be made quickly and deliberately and chaos needed to be minimized. In addition to the NSWOCC Board of Directors and members\, the registered delegates\, speakers and corporate sponsors/exhibitors had to be communicated with and a plan had to be put into place that met their needs. DESCRIPTION:This one-day interactive workshop is designed to build the skill and confidence of healthcare leaders to effectively manage critical workplace conversations. As a leader\, it is essential to develop your ability to effectively manage challenging and/or difficult situations\, personalities and groups in the workplace\, and to confidently handle situations that don’t go as planned. The workshop will provide participants with knowledge\, tools and strategies for understanding how conflict begins\, when and how to have a difficult conversation\, managing group dynamics\, and how to control nerves and anxieties in uncomfortable circumstances. You will have an opportunity to practice giving feedback using common workplace scenarios\, and managing situations when feedback goes badly or conversations go off track.  The course will be taught by Barbara Langlois\, RN\, BSN\, MSN\, who is an author and leadership & communication expert. Barb is an engaging presenter who will motivate and inspire you.

DESCRIPTION:In 2018\, the Public Health Agency of Canada released the Mycoplasma genitalium chapter for the first time as part of the Canadian Guidelines on Sexually Transmitted Infections. Mycoplasma genitalium is an emerging sexually transmitted pathogen that can cause non-chlamydial/non-gonococcal urethritis.
