DESCRIPTION:Join experts from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the National Advisory Committee on Infection Prevention and Control (NAC-IPC)\, who will provide a comprehensive overview of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE)\, a healthcare-associated infection that poses a concern due to limited treatment options. Speakers will discuss key characteristics of CPE\, including mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance. You will learn about the most current infection prevention and control recommendations to manage CPE in your healthcare settings. Speakers will also share key findings from Canadian surveillance data and discuss the trends.
