{"id":24,"date":"2018-12-02T01:31:53","date_gmt":"2018-12-02T01:31:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cohna-aciist.ca\/nl\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2019-10-03T19:29:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T19:29:24","slug":"mission-objectives","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cohna-aciist.ca\/nl\/about-us\/mission-objectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission &#038; Objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Mission<\/h2>\n<p>The Association of Occupational Health Nurses of Newfoundland Labrador (AOHNNL) believes in promoting and maintaining the physical, social and psychological well-being of all individuals in their work environment.<\/p>\n<h2>Objectives<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To recognize the need for and to establish health promotion programs that includes aspects of prevention, maintenance and monitoring the health of individuals and their environment.<\/li>\n<li>To utilize the nursing process in assessing the employees&#8217; health status during employment, to determine that they can adequately perform their work while maintaining a degree of physical, mental and emotional well being.<\/li>\n<li>To establish policies and procedures to provide optimum emergency medical care for injuries and\/or illnesses which may occur in the workplace.<\/li>\n<li>To recognize the need for and to develop educational programs for promoting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.<\/li>\n<li>To comply with all Health and Safety Legislation.<\/li>\n<li>To participate in continuing educational programs.<\/li>\n<li>To collaborate with all members of the health team, administration, all employees, all pertinent health services outside the occupational setting and all community agencies providing services to the employees.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain accurate and detailed records.
