Nominations are being sought for the following positions:
Director
(Minimum of 3 Maximum of 15)
Term: 2026-2028
COHNA-ACIIST is seeking Director candidates for the following representations: one (1) Atlantic region (NL, NB, NS, PEI), one (1) Central region (QC, ON), one Prairies region (MB, SK, AB), one BC/North region (BC, NT, YK NU), and up to nine (9) At-Large (no geographic requirements) to be elected. The term of office for Directors shall be two years. Certain Directors will be elected to a shortened term of such a length and in such number as members approve by Ordinary Resolution for the sole purpose of establishing staggered terms of office.
Candidate Qualifications:
- are an individual at least 18 years of age;
- are a Member in Good Standing, subject to the discretion of the Board to determine otherwise;
- not be an employee or representative of a company whose primary business would directly profit from being on the Board; not be a contractor of the Association;
- do not have the status of bankrupt; and
- have not been found incapable of managing property under any legislation nor declared incapable by any court.
Responsibilities:
- serve a term of two years in office. This term may be renewed one time.
- maintain active communication with regional/national membership, as well as COHNA-ACIIST Board of Directors and Officers.
- not miss more than two consecutive meetings without reasonable cause.
- provide an annual report of regional activities (Regional Directors).
- actively promote COHNA-ACIIST and occupational health nursing regionally and nationally where able.
- participate in succession planning for incoming members.
- actively participate in all matters of the association.
- assume other duties as required.
The terms of office begin immediately following the annual general meeting.

If you’re interested in serving as the Secretary or Treasurer with COHNA-ACIIST, you do not need to be a director.
